Put this on the car this past weekend, outline of the new Thunderhill West track I raced a few months back. I like the idea, just feels odd with only one outline. Simple solution: more track days!
I think they tend to look rather cool on track oriented cars, (a la Porsche 911 GT3), photo courtesy of trackdecals.com

Meh, as long as it's not ridiculous like the Nurburgring or Spa on an automatic V6 Mustang with a Flowmaster, I couldn't care less one way or the other. At least try to make it look honest.

Perhaps the 2" design would have been smarter. Although my close up also makes it look huge.

Yeah I assume if you're looking at your car from a normal angle, the proportions fit.
pls attend more track days thnx

I think you need to earn them by actually turning laps on the track, not just for going to the track as a spectator...
These are mine:

Nice, which car? Agreed, I think 175 miles on Thunderhill counts as my entry fee.

I think it's acceptable if you have actually driven the car on that track.

Cobalt SS Supercharged. I have 1,000 miles at Road America, around 200 at the third track (Blackhawk Farms) and then the others have just been single day events, so not that much.

I have some on mine but they are matte black and on the rear quarter window. So you can't seem then unless you're standing next to the car. Which is kind of silly really.

I had them on my old E46. I guess it depends on the style of the car. Understated gray? I thought it could pull off the decals at the time.
In my current stable only my E90 has a Nordschleife decal in black on the trunk. My other rides, even the track car, do not. I like the uncluttered look for now. I'm sure my taste will change again.
I also prefer on track pics :)

I think they're cool. I have a bunch of them on the E90, although I'm missing the one from Pocono Southeast #3 because the darn sticker company has a backlog of tracks and hasn't got to it yet. Blah! I think you should try to collect as many as possible =)

Like everyone else has said, as long as you've driven on the track.
I'm debating if I rent a GT86 when I go to the Nurburging next fall, so that I can feel no qualms about putting a Nordschleife decal on my own FR-S, or if I rent something German... haha

I had the chance to spend some time at Laguna Seca during a Skip Barber racing school stint. Amazing track. Did one at Daytona as well. Laguna Seca > Daytona, obviously.

So my 120MPH "Parade Lap" around the Indy 500 track doesn't count... damn.

I've actually thought about this long and hard when I first looked into track and kills stickers. I came to the realization that it was unrealistic to limit the stickers to just the owner and just the one car for many of the same reasons mentioned above. I have driven many tracks stateside as well as Europe, but not all in the same car and feel displaying them is more of a recognition of the driver's experience than the car.
On the other hand, kill stickers must be car specific. Kills in my 10 second dragster should never appear on my DD. Sure I've had my share of kills in it too (the poor C7 lost to me and I had my snow tires on), but its just wrong if it wasn't this car.
I even took into consideration where to place the stickers. Tracks, since they are driver referenced would go on the driver side fenders. And kills should go on the passenger side so bystanders, pedestrians, idiots I have to pass on the two-lane can recognize I'm not driving your run of the mill grandad's Cadillac.
Alas, I have zero stickers of either kind on my car. The tracks were too numerous and the kills wouldn't be believed. The last thing I want is for it to look gaudy and I spend enough time educating people about the car, why put myself in a situation where I have to explain anything else.... and half the folks wouldn't believe me anyway.

Holy crap! I can't believe I recognised Blackhawks Farms!
How was it? Track Day? Details Por Favor?
That's one of the closest tacks for me, so I'm wondering how it is; looking to do a track day next year.

Did you drive the car around the track in which the sticker it going on? Yes? Go for it! Did you drive your Camry to a IMSA race? No! Go get one of the non-track map stickers sold at the gift shop.

It's a great little track. I've done like three track days there over the past couple years. It's a smaller track, it favors smaller cars and lower HP cars. The facilities aren't super new, but it gets the job done, and their snack bar/grill has tasty food.
